In response to the attack, the Transport Workers Union announced it would suspend all bus lines operating between the Binyamin region and Jerusalem from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning.
Transport Workers Union head Tom Promowitz said: "Rock-throwing near the Hizma Junction is getting worse. Last month, there was a 30% increase in rock-throwing incidents, with a bus being pelted each day.
"The bus that was attacked was protected but the rocks were aimed at the unprotected driver's windshield. In light of the security forces' helplessness in the face of these attacks, there is no choice but to suspend the lines. We will not compromise on drivers' and passengers' safety," Promowiz said.
