Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said Sunday that he saw no reason to forbid Defense Minister Benny Gantz from meeting at this home with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas last week.

"Regarding the defense minister's meeting, it was done with my full approval. The defense minister spoke to me in advance and I saw no reason to ban it," Bennett told reporters.
"There are different positions in government and mixed [opinions] from the Left and Right – that's part of life," Bennett said. "The defense minister is responsible for providing security in Judea and Samaria and as such, there is cause to hold such a meeting."
