A magnitude 6.4 earthquake the shook Cyprus overnight Monday was also felt in Israel, local media reported. The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said the quake was at a depth of 2 kilometers (1.24 miles).

According to reports, the tremor was felt throughout Israel, including in Tel Aviv, Beersheba, Jerusalem, Haifa and Rehovot. There are no reports of injuries or damages.
The Israel Police said it logged dozens of calls to its emergency hotline.
