Yoel Marcus, hailed as an icon of Israeli journalism, died Wednesday. He was 90 years old.

Marcus worked in journalism for 60 years, earning him the reputation of "the journalist who witnessed Israel's entire history." He reported on some of the biggest stories in the young country's history, working for most of his career for Haaretz daily.
In 2017, he won the Sokolov Lifetime Achievement Award.
His funeral will take place at noon, Friday, at the Kiryat Shaul cemetery in Tel Aviv.
