Funerals for the three victims of the gruesome Independence Day attack in Elad were held in the Haredi city and Lod Friday afternoon.

The funeral for the father of six Oren Ben Yiftah, 35, was to be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday in Lod where he lived. According to his relatives, Ben-Yiftah had been working as a driver at an Independence Day event when he came under attack.
"The heart is broken to pieces in a family that has been through many disasters in recent years," Lod Mator Yair Ravivo said. "We now accompany this family at this unbearably difficult time. May God avenge him."
Forty-four-year-old Yonatan Havakuk was laid to rest at 12:00 p.m. in Elad.
On Facebook, his wife, Linor, wrote: "My husband fought against them with great heroism and saved many lives. He fought with them for long minutes, which allowed many to flee the scene.
"God bless you, dear and beloved husband. We will miss you very much."
Boaz Gol was to be laid to rest at the Har Hamenuchot Cemetery in Jerusalem at 1:30 p.m.
Rozie Levy, Gol's sister-in-law told the Ynet news site he had been walking to a Torah lesson when he was attacked.
"His daughters, may they be healthy, said they can't be without him. His wife also… I told the girls that dad went to get the messiah. I believe wholeheartedly he went to get the messiah."
