The cyber department of the State Attorney's Office has indicted an IDF soldier, a reserve IDF soldier who served in the Military Intelligence Directorate, and a teenager for divulging highly classified information, which the State Attorney's Office said: "harmed national security in an exceedingly severe manner."

According to the state's prosecution, the teenager received the information, shared it with his friends, and published it on social media. The military censor cleared the story for publication on Monday afternoon.
The three suspects were arrested three weeks ago, on May 24, after security officials found that sensitive information was being shared on social media networks.
A joint probe launched by the IDF's military police, the Shin Bet security, and the Israel Police determined that the information was compromised not as a result of spying, but was instead likely leaked.
Two indictments were filed in the case Monday, including one against the teenage suspect, who allegedly accepted classified material from the two other suspects.
The reserve soldier, who served both during his regular IDF service and as a reservist in the Military Intelligence Directorate, was also indicted Monday. The charges include collecting, possessing, and transferring classified information.
The minor was similarly accused of receiving confidential information from the adult suspect and the soldier, sharing it, and posting some of it publicly.

The defense attorneys for the soldier, Ran Cohen Rochberger and Amir Gonman, said he is an "outstanding, professional and valued soldier who contributed greatly during his service."
"Even if he erred in his judgment, he did not, God forbid, intend to harm the army. At the hearing next week, we will present to the military prosecution significant evidence and claims regarding the soldier and the circumstances of his actions. We are convinced that as a result, the mitigating context of the incident will become clear," they said.
