Team Russia will not be competing in this year's Maccabiah Games in Tel Aviv, news outlets reported.

Russia has been banned from multiple sports competitions since it launched an invasion in Ukraine on Feb. 24. Athletes from Belarus, an ally of Russia, will not be permitted to participate either.
The Maccabiah, the world's largest Jewish sporting tournament, is scheduled for July 12-26, a year after it had to be called off because of the coronavirus pandemic.
