Until recently, Israeli users could pay with credit cards linked to their mobile devices, through NFC technology. But the new Google service offers a larger range of options than credit cards and can store membership cards, COVID vaccination cards, boarding passes, and more.
Google is also expected to roll out support for government-issued documents like drivers licenses, and passports, as well as smart keys.
Google Wallet is available on the Google app store.
