The video was aired on Lebanon's Al-Manar channel, showing Halevi, the commander of the Southern Command, Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, and the others without wearing helmets or protective gear.

The military officers came under criticism after the broadcast, with claimants saying they should have taken the necessary precautions to protect themselves. IDF officials later said Halevi did not need to wear protective gear because the entire area was under military surveillance.
