The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Friday reported the killings of Sergeant Oz Shmuel Ardi, 19, in combat in southern Gaza, and Sergeant First Class (res.) Shay Uriel Pizem, 23. Hours later the death of Sgt. (res) Tomer Shlomo Myara, 28, was also announced.

Their deaths bring the Israeli military death toll in the ground operation in the Strip to 119.
Ardi served in the 603rd Combat Engineering Battalion. He was from the Hatzor community near the city of Ashdod.
Pizem is said to have been killed on Friday. He was from Kibbutz Ein HaNatziv in northern Israel. Pizm was a tank commander in the 9th Battalion.
