Protesters Sunday threw soup at the Mona Lisa painting held at the Louvre in Paris.

Video circulating on social media showed the protesters calling for "healthy and sustainable food" and called modern agricultural practices "sick."

The 16th-century painting is protected by bulletproof glass and as such no damage has been reported.
In May 2022, the painting was smeared in cake by a protester who urged people to "think of the Earth."
