Sharp criticism of United States President Donald Trump is emerging from populist right-wing circles, where opponents reject both the minerals agreement with Ukraine and the president's tough stance toward Iran as he threatens war against the Islamic Republic if negotiations for a new nuclear deal fail.
Member of Congress Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on the social network X, "I represent the base. And when I'm frustrated and upset over the direction of things, you better be clear, the base is not happy.
"I campaigned to end the foreign wars we are involved in. And now we are supposedly on the verge of going to war with Iran," Greene wrote in a lengthy post discussing negotiations with Iran and the minerals agreement with Ukraine.

I campaigned for no more foreign wars.
And now we are supposedly on the verge of going to war with Iran.

"I don't think we should be bombing foreign countries on behalf of other foreign countries, especially those with their own nuclear weapons and massive military strength," Greene, who has previously taken distinctly anti-Israel and antisemitic positions, wrote. Responses to Greene's post included a flood of antisemitic comments and claims about Jewish control over President Trump.
Greene added an explicit threat to the president and the rest of the Republican Party, writing, "When you lose Marjorie Taylor Greene, you are losing the base... so do the math on that."
