Lufthansa Group is set to restart its Israeli operations on August 1, marking the end of an extended suspension triggered by the Houthi missile incident and ongoing Iranian conflict.
Air France has already resumed service, with its flagship Boeing 777-300 touching down at Ben Gurion Airport on Monday. The carrier's return includes daily operations featuring the wide-body aircraft, delivering substantial service improvements across all cabin configurations. Passengers can expect a dedicated premium economy section, fully flat business class beds, individual entertainment systems throughout the aircraft, and complimentary Wi-Fi connectivity.
Several carriers have already restored Israeli routes, including Flydubai, Etihad Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Blue Bird, Hainan Airlines, TUS, and Azerbaijan Airlines.

Additional carriers preparing July comeback
Air Europa and LOT are among the airlines planning mid-month returns, with both carriers scheduled to resume flights on July 14. Air Seychelles has targeted August 1 for its restart.
However, major European budget and full-service carriers remain grounded longer. British Airways, Ryanair, and easyJet have extended their suspensions through October 25, while KLM maintains an indefinite halt. Industry sources suggest some airlines may accelerate their return timeline should the European Aviation Safety Agency withdraw its Israel travel advisory, an action anticipated within days.
