Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani delivered an angry message from US President Donald Trump to Hamas' leadership on Monday, after the terrorist organization responded to his latest proposal.
Hamas' answer appeared to be a conditional "yes," but it included new demands and reservations. The group refused to release all hostages at the start of negotiations and insisted on stronger guarantees beyond Trump's personal commitment to end the war.
A senior American official told Israel Hayom that Trump's message to Hamas leaders was unequivocal. He reminded them that his proposal was the final one before the IDF would take full control of the Gaza Strip, and he warned them that rejecting it would put their leadership in personal danger.

According to the official, Prime Minister Al Thani also received a direct message from Washington. He was told to use all of his influence to pressure Hamas, or else face efforts to expel the group from Qatar.
Last week, Israel Hayom reported on Trump's warnings to Hamas that were relayed through various channels, including American-Palestinian mediator Bishara Bahbah, as well as Egypt and Qatar.
Trump's final proposal included a personal note addressed directly to Hamas leaders. It offered his personal involvement in negotiating an end to the war and a US commitment to the reconstruction of Gaza, but it also carried an implicit threat regarding Hamas' future if they refused.
In addition, Hamas received another message, both through Bahbah and via Egypt, that Washington would allow Israel to complete its full military takeover of Gaza and that its leadership would be hunted down wherever it might flee.
