Once Israel issues its response – potentially revealing evidence exposing the LAF declaration as a lie – it will seek to solidify international legitimacy for military action in Lebanon.

However, the persistent media discussion surrounding the plans has eroded the element of surprise – potentially prompting targeted terrorists to go into hiding.
