81-year-old actor with decades of Hollywood credits, James Handy, died from a stabbing at his Los Angeles residence, with his girlfriend's son named the suspect, The Guardian reported.
Officers responding to the Tarzana, California, address on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. discovered Handy unresponsive in his front yard with several chest wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Charged with murder is Michael Gledhill, 44, the son of the actor's partner, who is being held on $2 million bail.
In its statement, the police described a 911 caller who said: "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin." Gledhill, upon being met by officers, identified himself as "the one they were looking for".

"The suspect resides at the location with his mother, who is the victim's girlfriend," the statement said.
A New York City native, Handy was familiar to audiences for his roles in films such as Jumanji, Top Gun: Maverick, and Logan.
