US President Donald Trump hosted hostage survivor Rom Braslavski at the White House on Tuesday. The meeting was arranged by Martin Marks, the White House liaison to the Jewish community.
Pictures published from the meeting showed Braslavski speaking with Trump and posing for photos with him in the Oval Office. It was Braslavski's first visit to the White House, as he did not join the delegation of released hostages who visited in November 2025 because of his mental state following his release. At the time, it was reported that he canceled the flight because of post-trauma and concerns that the long flight and waiting in lines would trigger him.

Braslavski, who was abducted from the Nova music festival and held by Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza for about two years, has become one of the prominent voices exposing the harsh conditions in captivity and the long struggle faced by hostage survivors even after their return to Israel. His time in captivity included sexual assault, and he appeared in psychological terror videos released by the terrorist organization during the war.
