Anti-Israel activists vandalized several light rail cars manufactured in Spain and intended for Tel Aviv's light rail system after breaking into a CAF plant in the Basque Country and spray-painting anti-Israel slogans on the cars.
In a video published about a week ago, a group of hooded individuals can be seen vandalizing half a dozen CAF trams that were being stored in a yard in Beasain. The assailants smashed the trams' windows and sprayed them with red paint, accusing the company of involvement with Israel. So far, no one has been arrested over the incident.

The attack was revealed in a video sent to the online news outlet Argia, which justified the action by saying the trams bore Hebrew markings and were intended for Tel Aviv's rail network. In a statement, the group also claimed that, contrary to previous assertions, the company continues to use roads, ports and warehouses in the Basque Country for the logistics of this order.

The incident marks the beginning of a series of protests organized by the BDS movement, the Basque branch of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, to put pressure on the company. The mobilization schedule includes gatherings at CAF-linked facilities in Zornotza, Irun and Castejón in Navarre in the coming days.
