It is happening this Sunday. Party leaders, ministers, MKs and the new names in Israeli politics will take the main stage at Israel Hayom's annual conference, alongside CEOs and leading figures in Israel's education, economy, infrastructure, industry and society sectors. The goal is to provide sharp and clear answers about what has taken place here in recent years, and above all to show Israel's citizens what the future will look like.
Among the figures who will take part in the conference are Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion; Brig. Gen. (res.) Ram Aminach; Mifal Hapayis Chairman Itzik Larry; Ariel Mishal, chairman of the Israel Association of Community Centers; Yoel Zilberman, CEO and founder of Hashomer Hachadash; Shay Dolev, deputy CEO of Doral Energy Group; Transportation Ministry Director General Moshe Ben Zaken; Ashdod Port CEO Nissan Levy; Charli Shriky, senior vice president for network services at the Israel Electric Corporation; Jerusalem Municipality Director General Ariella Rajuan; National Transport Infrastructure Company Chairman Yigal Amedi; Uriya Gonen, director of the Nirim in the Neighborhoods program; Dr. Keren Raz Netzer, head of research and development, innovation and local authority support at the Atid education network; Inna Zaltzman, senior deputy director general and head of the Pedagogical Administration at the Education Ministry; and Benny Meir, CEO and founder of Modelio Technologies.
During the conference, we will hold a series of interviews, panels and lectures. We will bring back to center stage and to public discourse the issues that matter most to us as citizens, to the economy, to the education system, to industry, to security and to the Israeli economy.
"The reality proves time and again that local government is the real engine of Israeli society and the place where the decisions that most affect residents' daily lives are made," Mifal Hapayis Chairman Itzik Larry said ahead of next week's conference. "National resilience is not built from above. It grows from the ground up, in schools, community centers and sports fields in every local authority. Strengthening local authorities and narrowing the gaps between the center and the periphery are not luxuries, but a necessary condition for the existence of a strong and just Israeli society. Mifal Hapayis will continue to invest in education, welfare and community infrastructure, based on the belief that every boy and girl in Israel, regardless of where they live, deserves a fair starting point and an equal opportunity to realize their talent, abilities and dreams."
National Transport Infrastructure Company Chairman Yigal Amedi, who will also appear on the conference stage, said, "We are in the midst of the largest infrastructure revolution in the country's history. Our vision is now becoming reality, from the construction of new rail lines and in-depth solutions to road challenges to the major effort to rehabilitate the south and the north. This is national infrastructure that serves all Israeli citizens."
The 2026 election campaign, which has already begun, is an excellent opportunity for party leaders, ministers and MKs to present their views on the central challenges Israel will face in the coming years, such as the draft law, judicial system reforms, the cost of living and rising violence in Israeli society. The conference will address the complex identity trap facing religious Zionism ahead of the election: on the one hand, close coalition partnership with the ultra-Orthodox factions, and on the other, a religious-Zionist public, much of which can no longer accept the inequality in the burden of military service.
