An Iranian airliner's routine domestic flight turned tense Monday when a tire blew out during takeoff, forcing the pilot to declare an emergency and turn the plane around.
An unusual incident occurred aboard a flight operated by Iranian carrier Sepehran Airlines, when a Boeing 737 traveling from Mashhad to Kermanshah, declared an emergency shortly after takeoff and was forced to return to the airport it had departed from.

According to initial reports, as published by Iran's Mehr news agency, one of the plane's tires exploded during takeoff, and officials also examined the possibility of damage to the aircraft's engine.
After takeoff, the pilot declared an emergency landing to the control tower and requested to return to the airport in Mashhad. After completing the necessary procedures, the plane landed safely on the runway, which was closed due to the incident. No casualties were reported.
