Microsoft is continuing its organizational changes across the company, and the move is expected to affect its operations in Israel as well. As part of the reorganization, dozens of development employees are expected to move to other positions within the company, while employees for whom no alternative role is found may lose their jobs.

Sources familiar with the details told Israel Hayom that this is a reorganization Microsoft is carrying out worldwide, and that the center in Israel is included in it.

According to the sources, the company will try to find internal solutions for the dozens of development employees affected by the move and move them to other positions. However, for some employees, no alternative role may be found, in which case they will end their employment with the company.

Israel Hayom has learned that the layoff process could take effect as soon as Monday evening, though it may be delayed by a day or two depending on the reporting requirements of Microsoft's global headquarters in the US.

Microsoft said, "We continue to examine the company's operations and organizational structure, with the goal of adapting them to changing needs and challenges. This process includes changes to team structures and, in some cases, difficult decisions that directly affect employees at the company. We are aware of the personal significance of these changes, and we will do everything we can to support the employees affected by them during this period with sensitivity, respect, and support."
