Iran-US summit, on the brink

Report: Israel cut off from US-Iran negotiations

According to Israeli security officials who spoke to The New York Times, Israel has been forced to rely on intelligence to keep up with what is happening behind closed doors. The newspaper said Israel’s exclusion stemmed from US President Donald Trump’s disappointment after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised that the war would lead to the fall of the Iranian regime. In Israel, officials fear that if an agreement is reached with Iran, it will resemble the deal the US withdrew from during Trump’s first term.

Ben Gvir's showboating could cost Israel dearly

The flotilla activists came with one goal: to make Israel look bad. Minister Itamar Ben Gvir joined the effort. Italy, the sensitive link in Israel’s diplomatic wall inside the European Union, is now facing unprecedented political pressure. If that wall falls, the flood that follows will harm Israel’s standing, its economy and every one of its citizens. Jewish communities are also worried and are condemning him in the strongest terms: “He diverted attention from their ties to Hamas.”
