President Donald Trump contradicted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's position on Gaza starvation during a press briefing at his Turnberry golf property in Scotland.

When you are a Jew with an ocean between you and Hamas, you have the luxury of believing that antisemitism is somehow our fault. Hamas did not attack us because of settlements, or Netanyahu, or Gaza. They attacked us because we exist.

A year ago, a devastating rocket attack struck Majdal Shams, killing 12 children. Many of them witnessed the horrific event; an entire community was left in shock. The UJA-Federation of New York stepped in to offer support. Itzik Shmuli, UJA's Director General in Israel: “our relationship with Majdal Shams didn’t start with that rocket, and it won’t end with it. Fate has bound us together.”

To pull the campaign cart out of the Gaza quagmire, Israel's leadership must stop bickering and convene for a strategy session that yields an agreed-upon plan. For now, there are no hostages and no victory, only a staggering flow of aid to Hamas.
