Although the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade – a landmark 1973 ruling on abortion rights – has shocked the Democrats, it nevertheless provides the party with political oxygen.

For months, President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have performed poorly in public opinion and were headed for a near-certain defeat in the November 8 midterm elections. The Republicans were about to gain a majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate, but now, according to the Democrats, the abortion ruling will sway many voters back in their favor, especially women.
But will the various bans that will emerge from the decision prevent the expected shift in Congress? In recent years, there's been a change in the division of constituencies across the US. Even after such a division, both parties are well familiar with the voting patterns of the residents of the districts. Voters' considerations mostly have to do with local rather than nationwide matters.
One of the main reasons the Republicans have garnered support is due to the disruption to the social order led by extremists in the Democratic Party. These include cutting budgets for law enforcement and educational institution in many US cities, which has resulted in an increase in crime rates.
No doubt, the economic crisis, and school shootings play an important role in the disappointment of Biden's presidency and the Democrats.
Demonstrations that will take place across the US in protest of the Supreme Court ruling, and the violence that is bound to come along with it, are likely to exacerbate the matter.
This is relevant for Israel as well. The "extreme" decision, as Biden put it, comes as a result of fifty years of efforts by Republicans who were unwilling to put up with the social revolutions led by the progressives through the Supreme Court.
This revolution included the destruction of family values that caused a rift in American society as a whole. Or as combat-decorated marine Oliver North said, they drove God out of America's schools and this is the result.
Israel's activist court is known to be affected by that of the United States. The expectation is that just as the pendulum is moving backward in the US, so too it will in Israel.
