Israel Hayom is a media organization founded on the belief that the Israeli public deserves better journalism—more balanced, more accurate, and more reliable. Journalism that speaks rather than shouts. Journalism that is trustworthy, objective, and matter-of-fact. A different kind of journalism, offered free of charge. The first print edition was published on July 30, 2007, and in 2010 Israel Hayom became the Israeli newspaper with the highest weekday readership. The newspaper’s publisher is Dr. Miriam Adelson. Its Editor-in-Chief is Omar Lachmanovitch, and its founding editor is Amos Regev. Israel Hayom’s Hebrew and English websites, as well as its Android and iOS applications, provide around-the-clock news coverage, exclusive content, breaking news and updates, analysis and commentary, video, podcasts, and live broadcasts. The digital platforms of Israel Hayom include news and opinion channels covering culture and entertainment, lifestyle, technology, sports, business and consumer affairs, health, military affairs, food, Judaism, tourism, and automobiles. In 2021, a new Hebrew-language website and mobile application were launched to provide users with a fast, up-to-date, secure, and convenient experience. The content of the newspaper’s print edition is also available online through a daily digital edition and can be received via newsletter. “The Israel Hayom Clique,” the publication’s exclusive benefits club, offers website users discounts and special promotions on products and services. Israel Hayom welcomes feedback, criticism, and suggestions for improvement from its readers. You can contact the organization by email at hayom@israelhayom.co.il

We're just getting started

The venture that began as the Zionist vision Sheldon z"l and Dr. Miriam Adelson has flourished into a true force in the Israeli media.

I began my journey with Israel Hayom on July 30, 2007, when the newspaper was born. Looking back on the path that took me from the Sports pages and the Literary Section, through the Political Magazine, to the position of editor-in-chief, I can say that it was a fascinating and insightful journey. Once a fledgling newspaper fighting for public attention, Israel Hayom has grown into a major media platform for the various voices in Israeli society – real, honest voices that reflect a broad common denominator among Israelis.

Fifteen years ago, Sheldon z"l and Dr. Miriam Adelson saw the future. With a shared Zionist vision, they established a media outlet that strives to benefit the state without reservations, without alienation, and without cynicism, out of faith and substantive love for the State of Israel and its Jewish identity, and the firm democratic foundations of its society.

Today, Israel Hayom is the largest media platform for pluralism of thought, accurate news coverage, and impartial criticism. It seeks to redeem rather than destroy; and it has become a leading Jewish, Israeli and democratic media outlet not merely over its ever-growing readership but because it strives to shape a new, better and more decent Israeli reality.

Over the past few months we have set the tone for the media agenda: from breaking the story of Israel's new National Guard and the destruction of antiquities on the Temple Mount, through exposing wrongs in periphery hospitals, to the first visit by an Israeli journalist to Saudi Arabia.

In Israel Hayom, one finds wonderful people – reporters, editors, digital specialists, photographers, graphic designers, and proofreaders – who are partners for the long haul. This group knows how to navigate the wasteland which news-making essentially is. They often find the "promised land" of a news item that resonates with the public and makes waves in the media, but they are also no strangers to looking at this land from afar, only to get up, dust themselves off and set off on another journalistic quest.

New talents have recently joined the ranks of Israel Hayom and the digital momentum we are experiencing will continue to intensify, as we strive for new feats in the near and distant future.

This shared effort seeks to realize the high hopes we have for Israel Hayom as a leading, proactive media outlet that sets a Zionist agenda on weekdays and weekends.

We will be there in every arena – covering political developments ahead of the upcoming elections, covering security events, the economic crisis and the cost of living, as well as all areas of culture, sports, tourism, food, and lifestyle.

Congratulations to Israel Hayom, its employees, and readers, for the first 15 years. We're just getting started.
