The US Congress launched Tuesday an inter-parliamentary group that will bring together lawmakers from the United States, Australia, Canada, Israel, and the United Kingdom to take on online anti-Semitism.
According to a statement from the office of Ted Deutch, a Florida Democrat, the group will be focused on "establishing consistent messaging and policy from legislatures around the world" in regards to online instances of anti-Semitism.

The statement makes explicit references to such online giants as TikTok, Twitter, Facebook and Google.
On the panel, Deutch will be joined by Florida Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz as well as New Jersey Republican Chris Smith and Florida GOP lawmaker Mario Diaz-Balart.
Blue and White lawmaker Michal Cotler-Wunsh will be representing Israel on the panel.
The recent months saw a number of anti-Semitism related incidents linked with some of the Big Tech platforms, including a report branding TikTok, a popular app focused on sharing short video clips, a hotbed of extreme anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.
