In a special i24NEWS video message, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Reuven Rivlin extended their greetings to the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of the Gulf country's national day this week. Many additional prominent Israelis, including celebrities, also participated in the video.

The two countries have recently struck a normalization agreement, under the mediation of the US, marking the first peace deal in almost 30 years between Israel and an Arab country.
"I want to wish His Highness Mohammed bin Zayed Al and all the citizens of the UAE, our new friends, a very joyous national day, may our new partnership be an example for all the nations in the Middle East ... together we are building a better future for our two countries, for the region and for the world ... May God bless all of you," Netanyahu said in the video.
The message is part of a special project on Abu Dhabi Media, the UAE's leading public service broadcaster and media company. The project was produced by the international news channel i24NEWS, which broadcasts from Israel.
