Known as "Project 99," the project is under the complete control of Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
The report quoted "Senior Syrian sources" as saying one of the project's centers was located eight miles from the northwestern Syrian city of Masyaf and was in fact an underground bunker located 25 meters (yards) underground and protected by a thick layer of concrete and steel.
On April 9th, Syrian TV reported that Israel had struck targets in the area of Masyaf in the Hama province. In a report at the time, AlHadath reported that the strikes had targeted a factory to develop precision-guided missiles.
Another such facility that serves as a research center for the manufacture of advanced surface-to-surface missiles and chemical weapons is situated near the village of Taqsis in Hama province, according to the Saudi report. The Taqsis facility, which previously served Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime before being taken over by the Quds Force, is particularly large and includes tunnels and underground weapons depots, according to the AlHadath report.

AlHadath reported that Hezbollah operatives are stationed at a third facility, known as the Qtina Center in western Homs province. According to the report, there are tunnels running out of the center that reach the D'Ba'a military airport, which has drone warehouses and is also located in Homs province. AlHadath reported that chemical weapons have been smuggled out of the center and into Lebanon through the tunnels and that it has been repeatedly targeted by the Israel Defense Forces.
Furthermore, the news channel reported that within the framework of Project 99, Iran was engaged in the development of two kinds of missiles: an advanced version of the Scud-C missile known as Golan 2, capable of a range of 600 kilometers, and an advanced version of the Scud-D missile known as Golan 2, with a range of 850 kilometers. In addition, the project is also focusing on the development of Iranian rockets such as the Shihab and the Tashrin.
