Two soldiers were stabbed in a terrorist attack in central Israel on Tuesday.
The incident happened when the perpetrator approached the two while they were at the Tzrifin Junction near Rishon LeZion, just off the IDF Tzrifing Base.

The two soldiers, both in their twenties, were evacuated to the nearby Shamir Medical Center. One of them sustained minor wounds, while the other was considered to be in serious condition. The attacker was overpowered by members of the public and subsequently arrested by police.

Despite reports of a possible second attacker, authorities have said it was unlikely. Security forces have been searching the area in the immediate aftermath to rule out an accomplice.
