Dramatic scenes unfolded in Iran late Thursday night into Friday morning, with reports of air raid sirens, thunderous explosions, and aircraft overhead in the central city of Isfahan. While Israel has not officially commented, an American administration official told ABC News that Israeli missiles struck a site in Iran.
The explosions were powerful enough to be heard throughout the city according to Iranian reports. In addition to the alleged Israeli strike on Iranian soil, there were also reports of an aerial attack attributed to Israel targeting sites belonging to Iranian-backed militias in neighboring Syria.
BREAKING: Israel is bombing Iran, Syria and Iraq at the same time.
This is the first time ever that Israeli warplanes have struck Iran directly.
