Iranian military commanders have issued stark warnings of an escalating regional conflict that will target Israel and American military installations throughout the Middle East, according to Iranian media.

Senior military officials told Fars News Agency correspondents that combat operations will expand significantly beyond recent limited engagements. "The war that began with the start of the Zionist regime's aggression will spread to all areas occupied by this regime and US bases in the region in the coming days, and the aggressors will be the target of Iran's decisive and extensive response," an informed official quoted high-ranking military commanders as stating to Fars News Agency.

The Iranian military leadership emphasized that current hostilities represent only the beginning of a broader campaign, with Fars News Agency reporting that senior commanders declared the confrontation far from concluded.

"This confrontation will not end with last night's limited actions and Iran's subsequent strikes will continue, and this action will be very painful and regrettable for the aggressors," the military officials stated, referring to the massive barrage on Israel in retaliation to the launch of Operation Rising Lion to rid Iran of the its threatening nuclear program.

Israel's operation was launched early Friday with a decapitation strike during which a sizeable number Iran's most senior commanders were either eliminated or otherwise targeted. The confirmed assassinations include the head of the Revolutionary Guards Hossein Salami and its chief of the Aerospace Force Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
