Israel continues to await confirmation of US participation in the military campaign against Iran. While the Israeli Air Force intensifies strikes on targets in Tehran, no final decision has been made by the US regarding its involvement.

In response to a query from Israel Hayom, former National Security Council head Meir Ben-Shabbat stated, "I assume President Donald Trump wants to exhaust the possibility of forcing Iran to surrender under Israeli pressure and US threats without requiring American military involvement. Meanwhile, the time is being used to complete operational preparations – both for an attack and for possible escalation scenarios if the US strikes – and to build legitimacy and domestic support within the US."
Opposition to US involvement persists within President Donald Trump's own camp, particularly among supporters of the Make America Great Again movement.
Meir Ben-Shabbat further noted, "The time is also being used for diplomatic coordination with America's allies and regional partners. It's worth noting that Israel has not completed its objectives and is not merely waiting for the Americans – it continues to destroy targets and advance its operational plan."
