Iranian group offers millions for assassinating Trump

An Iranian movement linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a call to Muslims worldwide to carry out what it calls a "divine sentence" against US President Donald Trump, offering a multimillion-dollar reward and presenting the campaign as a religious obligation in the war against "the enemies of Islam."

The movement, calling itself "Blood Covenant," announced that it has raised more than $40 million to fund the assassination of Trump. According to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), the organization has urged "all resistance cells in the West" to implement the sentence reportedly issued by Iran's senior religious leadership.

Media outlets affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard have framed the call as a "religious duty," adding that whoever carries out the mission will be rewarded with "paradise and the status of a defender of Islam."

The initiative was first made public on July 4 in a broadcast on Fars News Agency, a media outlet aligned with the Revolutionary Guard. The group claimed the money would be awarded to anyone who brings Trump to justice, describing him as "an enemy of Allah" whose blood is "permissible." A poster published on the official website of Blood Covenant, which is based in Iran, shows Trump inside a sniper's crosshairs and promises a reward of up to $40 million for his assassination. The poster also includes a Quranic verse calling for "jihad with wealth and soul."

According to MEMRI, the campaign appears to be state-sanctioned and highlights the Iranian regime's organized incitement - from senior officials to the streets and state-run media. The group portrays the campaign as a religious battle between the "messengers of Allah" and "the enemies of Islam," with Iranian religious authorities repeatedly emphasizing the divine reward for carrying out the sentence.

At the same time, Iranian media have aired interviews with clerics openly endorsing the initiative. In a July 3 interview on Iran's state broadcaster, Quranic scholar Abdulmajid Kharakani said that an "online fundraising campaign" is also underway to finance the killings of both Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with contributions estimated at $10–20 million. Kharakani claimed that "Islamic law mandates the killing of the heads of heresy." Similar declarations have been made at Qom's main seminary, where clerics ruled that Trump's blood is "permissible" and urged all Muslims, including those in the West, to carry out the fatwa.

The US State Department responded to the threats by telling media outlets that the administration is aware of the matter and is committed to "bringing those responsible to justice." A senior official said the Trump administration would use every tool available, including sanctions, as part of its "maximum pressure" strategy against the Iranian regime.
