A US destroyer docked on Friday at Eilat port. The IDF made it clear that this was routine activity planned in advance and took place as part of ongoing security cooperation between Israel and the United States.
According to a report in The New York Times, US President Donald Trump has received in recent days an expanded range of options for military action against Iran, including additional strikes on nuclear and missile facilities and even raids by American forces inside the country's territory, senior American officials said.

One of the most dangerous options includes covert penetration by American commando forces to destroy undamaged nuclear facilities. Another option is a wave of strikes against military and leadership targets, aimed at destabilizing the regime to the point of toppling Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, though it is unclear who would replace him and whether they would be more open to dialogue with the US.
Meanwhile, a senior Lebanese political source expressed concern in the newspaper Al-Jumhuriya on Friday morning about "the dynamics of regional developments." According to him, such developments "will have major implications for Lebanon," and "all assessments confirm that the strike on Iran will occur and it is awaiting completion of preparations."
