The head of the intelligence organization of the IRGC, Majid Khadami, was killed in a strike on Tehran, Iran's Tasnim (state-affiliated Iranian news agency) reported Monday.

Khadami had replaced his predecessor, Mohammad Kazemi, who was killed by the Israeli Air Force during Operation Rising Lion in June 2025. Khadami holds a doctorate in national security and a doctorate in strategic defense sciences. He was known in the media at times as Majid Khadmi and at other times as Majid Husseini. His legal name remains unclear.

Defense Minister Israel Katz responded to the elimination. The minister said, "The terrorist regime in Iran continues to fire missiles at Israel's home front and to murder and wound Israeli civilians. I was updated by the IDF Chief of Staff that the IDF eliminated tonight in Tehran Majid Khadami, head of the IRGC's intelligence organization – one of those directly responsible for these war crimes and one of the three most senior figures in the organization.

"The Revolutionary Guards fire at civilians, and we eliminate the terrorist leadership. Iran's leaders are living in a state of paranoia. We will continue to hunt them down one by one. I warned that if they continued firing at Israeli civilians, we would strike and destroy Iran's national infrastructure. We have struck hard at the steel infrastructure and the petrochemical industry – and today, and every day, there will be more to come," the minister said.

"We will continue to pound Iran's national infrastructure and bring about the erosion and collapse of the terrorist regime and its ability to advance terrorism and fire at the State of Israel."
