Israeli diplomatic officials acknowledge disagreements between Jerusalem and Washington over the 15-point document concerning an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the disarmament of Hamas, saying Jared Kushner is pushing for agreement, while Trump himself has yet to exert direct pressure. Meanwhile, Israel is sending the Americans a daily report detailing Hamas violations and the terrorist organization’s continued efforts to preserve its military capabilities. 

Three diplomatic sources involved in the talks tell Israel Hayom that a deal is not close and that the draft understandings between Oman and Iran fail to meet the US demand for unrestricted passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the US president is preparing to declare victory if Iran reopens the Strait of Hormuz, even without a nuclear agreement. Tehran, however, is demanding billions of dollars, the withdrawal of US forces from the region and an end to the naval blockade.
