According to Democratic Senator and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, "Israel cannot hope to succeed as a pariah opposed by the rest of the world." What is his advice to that country to escape from such a fate? It is, first and foremost to replace Bibi Netanyahu as prime minister of Israel, since he is a burr under the saddle of Schumer and his plans for Israel. Then, too, it is to cease and desist from trying to completely eliminate Hamas. It simply cannot be done, according to this worthy. Instead, make a deal with them.

Presumably, this would be a ceasefire, a two-state solution in which Hamas plays a major role, a total end of the war, release of the several dozen hostages Hamas still holds, in return for the freeing of thousands of Arab terrorists now imprisoned in Israeli jails. Certainly, there would be no IDF attack on Rafah, in southern Gaza. That is the only type of agreement to which Hamas would subscribe.
This of course would be an utter and complete disaster for the future safety of the inhabitants of the most civilized country in the Middle East. Hamas has promised one, two, three, many subsequent October 7s. But Senator Schumer is the highest elected Jewish leader in the US, so Israel should be guided by his words?
Stuff and nonsense. Israel will be a pariah state if it adheres to Schumer's suicidal advice, and it will also be a pariah state if it tells this American politician to go get stuffed. Israel has been a pariah state ever since its founding in 1948. It has continued to be a pariah state right up until October 6, 2023, the day before the most vicious and depraved incursion of Hamas into its territory the very next day. It continues to be a pariah state until the present. Its status will still be that of pariah whether or not it follows Schumer's advice, which will pretty much end that country as a home for Jews.
What is the evidence for this claim? Exhibit A: Israel is the world leader in terms of complaints made against it at the UN. This nation has suffered from more majority votes against it than any other country on the planet. Exhibit B: On October 7, 2023, on that very day, before the IDF even began to forcefully react against Hamas, world opinion had already coalesced into blaming Israel for its plight. Almost three dozen student organizations at the prestigious Harvard University laid sole blame for this despicable act on the victim. The president of that world-leading institution of higher learning was unable to say whether or not the call for "death to the Jews" was incompatible with the principles of her school. It all depended upon the "context." As Harvard goes, so goes much of the world.
No, the choice is not between being a pariah state and not following Schumer's suicidal advice, and following it, and escaping this characterization. Rather, it is between being slaughtered by Hamas and being a pariah state, and ignoring him and still remaining in that category. Pariah status is permanent for Israel no matter what it does, so it might as well follow a path that leads to its own safety.
There can be no doubt that to follow Schumer's advice is to commit national suicide. I am not altogether comfortable crediting Hamas in any manner, shape or form, but I feel I must in this case. They are honest. This terrorist organization has clearly and often announced its goal of annihilation not only of Israel but of all Jews, and I for one am willing to take them at their word.
Unless Hamas is entirely obliterated, no Jew in the entire world is safe, and this applies to those living in Israel even more. The only way this evil scum can be fully eliminated is for Israel to do the exact opposite of whatever Schumer advises. Let me now "credit" this New York State Senator. He has indeed made an important contribution: Israel's way forward is clear. Do 180 degrees off of whatever it is that he advises.
Was Schumer elected through a democratic process to represent the people of Israel or the electorate of New York State? He speaks as if the former is true, not merely the latter. Correction: he speaks as if both are the case. Let me remind this politician. He was only elected to represent New Yorkers, not Israelis.
Netanyahu is too much of a gentleman, too much of a diplomat, too much of an aristocrat to respond in kind to Schumer. The Prime Minister of Israel does not relish getting down and dirty into a mud bath with the senior senator of New York.

I'm not at all like that. I relish playing dirty. So, I hereby call upon all supporters of Israel to vote against this New York State Senator when he is next up for reelection. He remains in office until January 3, 2029, but friends of Israel have long memories. Better to have Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the United States Representative from New York State take his place in the upper chamber than for him to stay in the Senate. With friends like Schumer, Israel hardly needs any enemies. Yes, yes, AOC is no friend of Israel either. But, at least she cannot be called a traitor when she acts so as to undermine that country.
US politicians are mighty persnickety about possible foreign interference in their elections. But this practice is quite alright when the shoe is on the other foot? That seems to be the thesis of Chuck Schumer. Foreign interference in domestic elections is fine for me, but not for thee. This New York Senator ought to be awarded a prize for hypocrisy.
