History will reflect on 2020 as the "Year of the Coronavirus," during which our lives changed beyond recognition, and the coronavirus set the health and economic agendas in a way that affected each of us, and we all hope that 2021 will be better, especially that we will forget the corona saga.

Reality has shown us that the COVID-19 does not intend to fade away into the night, but the current resurgence is different from the previous outbreaks in that there is a real hope that it will be the last one.
Israel's impressive vaccination campaign, which is in full swing and as part of each one in six Israelis has already been vaccinated – with an emphasis on those in the risk group for serious illness – brings with it a real message that as it ends in about a month, we can return resume, for the most part, our pre-pandemic routine.
Still, a month is a long time and at the present morbidity rate, and especially in light of the severe increase in the number of seriously ill patients, mortality is expected to rise, and with it the possibility that things will get worse before they get better.
However, this is not predetermined. We – each and every one of us – to prevent the disease by adhering to the directives of the lockdown and to social distancing guidelines.
These simple means, which we will probably need for the last time as the vaccines will take effect, we can all save lives, literally. We can see the finish line of this tough marathon, and we all have to aspire to cross it in Unisom.
The medical treatment received by corona patients in Israel is one of the best in the Western world, and is provided while maintaining the patient's dignity and the highest medical standards.
Medical teams are sparing no effort to care for the patients. Despite the physical fatigue, we push forward, with the understanding that this is no ordinary time. I call on the public – stay safe and take care, so that we can take better care of you.
