In 2021, a new Hebrew-language website and mobile application were launched to provide users with a fast, up-to-date, secure, and convenient experience. The content of the newspaper’s print edition is also available online through a daily digital edition and can be received via newsletter. “The Israel Hayom Clique,” the publication’s exclusive benefits club, offers website users discounts and special promotions on products and services. Israel Hayom welcomes feedback, criticism, and suggestions for improvement from its readers. You can contact the organization by email at hayom@israelhayom.co.il

US should sanction the European Court of Justice

The United States should overreact to the European court's anti-Semitic ruling on the need to label food produced in Judea and Samaria.

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruled on Nov. 12 that all 28 European Union member states must add special labels to all Israeli food products imported to the European Union that are manufactured in Judea and Samaria. This decision is the result of the ECJ's determination that Jews living in Judea and Samaria are "illegally occupying" the region, and therefore have no right to produce anything there.

Indeed, the European Union has publicly stated that Judea and Samaria should be turned over to the Palestinian Authority, even though the PA has never ruled over that region and has never engaged in serious negotiations with Israel over the area.

In a supreme irony, the ECJ ruling came nearly 81 years to the day after the Kristallnacht pogrom, when German paramilitary forces attacked Jews throughout Germany, destroying 267 synagogues, attacking 7,000 businesses and arresting 30,000 men for the "crime" of being Jewish.

This ECJ decision demonstrates that the Europeans have learned nothing from the Nazis' attacks on the Jews before and during World War II, or from the murder of 60 million people, 90% of whom were Christians and non-Jews, during the Nazi takeover of Europe.

The current ECJ legal attack could well embolden Islamists in Europe and elsewhere, including Hamas, Hezbollah and other proxies of Iran, as they may interpret it as moral justification. This would jeopardize not only Jews in Israel but also Christians and non-Islamist Muslims the world over.

So why is the European Union acting this way, and why is its collective court acting with such anti-Semitic bias?

Why is the European Union acting against democratic Israel, instead of illegitimate, tyrannical Iran?

Why are the Europeans, as a whole, acting against their own self-interest?

European Union member states must protest the injustice forced on Israel by the ECJ and defy its ruling.

The United States, for its part, should overreact, with the aim of sending the strongest possible message to the world. The US Treasury should sanction the ECJ court and, so long as it maintains this unjust and anti-Semitic ruling, all the judges involved on a personal basis, and treat this court as a criminal entity for, in effect, providing material support for terrorism.
