The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment on Thursday against a 40-year-old man from Hadera following his inciting Facebook posts allegedly called for the assassination of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The indictment, which got a green light from the attorney general, refers to four different posts. Apart from calling on followers to take violent action against the Israeli leader, who has recently sworn in his fifth government and became the longest-serving Israeli premier, it also praises anyone who takes extreme measures to hurt him.
Prosecutors said the posts posed an imminent danger that could have resulted in violence.
