The Fars news agency, which is affiliated with the Iranian regime, reported that Tehran announced five conditions that constitute minimum confidence-building guarantees for beginning negotiations with the US.
According to the report, Iran set conditions that include ending the war on all fronts, including against Hezbollah in Lebanon, removing sanctions, and releasing frozen funds. Additionally, Tehran demands compensation for war damages and recognition of Iranian sovereignty in the Strait of Hormuz.

The report further noted that Tehran conveyed to Pakistan that the US naval blockade has exacerbated mistrust in negotiations with Washington. The Iranian regime believes that entering new negotiations is impossible without these demands being met.
According to an unnamed source who briefed the Iranian channel, "The American proposals were drafted in an entirely unilateral manner, and in a way that serves the interests of Washington. The Americans tried through these proposals to achieve goals in negotiations that they failed to achieve in war."
